Don’t forget to share your feedback on the draft Community Safety and Well-Being Plan and Sanitary Master Plan
The City of West Kelowna has two draft plans available for public feedback and we want to hear from you!
Community Safety and Well-Being Plan
Visit OurWK.ca/communitysafetyplan to review the draft plan, complete the survey and learn more. Survey closes on Friday, July 31.
The Community Safety and Well-Being Plan is a collaborative, prevention-focused initiative that addresses the root causes of community challenges through partnerships, community involvement and long-term planning.
The draft plan reflects input gathered from residents, community organizations, businesses and community partners throughout Phases 1 and 2 of engagement. Community feedback has helped identify six interconnected themes that will guide actions to improve safety, well-being and community connections in West Kelowna.
Feedback received during this final phase of engagement will help refine the plan before it is presented to Council for consideration.
Sanitary Master Plan
Visit OurWK.ca/sanitary-master-plan to review the plan, complete the survey and learn more. Survey closes on Thursday, Aug. 6.
Sanitary infrastructure is one of the City's essential services, safely collecting and transporting wastewater from homes and businesses for treatment.
The Sanitary Master Plan helps the City plan for future infrastructure needs by identifying priorities for:
- Lift station upgrades
- Sanitary main replacements
- Planning for future growth
- Long-term financial planning and asset management
Residents are encouraged to take a few minutes to review the draft plan and complete the survey.
Help shape the future of the City by providing your feedback.
