A century of remembrance: the Westbank Cemetery
For 100 years, Westbank Cemetery has been a peaceful and meaningful part of the West Kelowna community. Its grounds hold the stories of generations of families, pioneers, neighbours, and community members who helped shape the community we know today.
Established in 1926, the cemetery has witnessed a century of change in West Kelowna, from its early rural beginnings to the vibrant community it is today.
As part of the Westbank Cemetery Centennial, the community is invited to explore its history through a self-guided walking tour, virtual tour or one of three guided tours hosted by the Westbank Museum.
Guided tours
The Westbank Museum will host guided tours on:
- Saturday, Oct. 17
- Saturday, Nov. 7
- Saturday, Nov. 21
All tours run from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Westbank Cemetery, 3200 Elliott Road. The cost is $5 per person, payable to the Westbank Museum.
