Update as of Monday, Oct. 23

Crews successfully completed all of the watermain repairs and water service was returned to normal late on Friday evening.

---

Update as of Friday, Oct. 20 at 8:00 p.m.

Crews have completed repairs on the watermain break and are now working to recharge the system, with normal service/pressure expected later tonight.

If customers notice any discolouration, they should run the cold water tap for several minutes until it runs clear.

We thank customers for their patience during repairs.

---

Update as of Friday, Oct. 20 at 4:45 p.m.

Watermain replacement work will continue into early evening, with backfill and system recharging to be completed thereafter.

Customers may experience some low pressure while the system recharges. When normal service/pressure resumes later this evening (estimated after 8 or 9 p.m.), run cold tap until clear.

We are very appreciative of customers' patience and understanding during replacement works.

A reminder that the entire Rose Valley - Lakeview System remains on a Water Quality Advisory.

---

Update as of Friday, Oct. 20 at 7:45 a.m.

Additional emergency repairs and replacement are underway today in the Vector, Gregory, Boucherie and Mission View area. Aging infrastructure appears to have been leading to these recent leaks and crews are looking to identify and replace weak spots in the main.

The City thanks residents for their patience during this complex time and requests that motorists follow directions from traffic controllers to allow for a safe work zone.

Residents with little to no water are encouraged to use the bulk filling station at Shannon Lake and Asquith Roads - please bring clean bottles for filling. Updates to follow later today.

---

Update as of Thursday, Oct. 19 at 5:00 p.m.

Update:
Repairs to the watermain have been completed and about 50 connections in South Lakeview Heights off Boucherie, Gregory, Vector and Mission View are expected to have restored water service later this evening (Oct. 19), another update to follow once crews finish backfilling the site and charging and flushing the main.

When service returns, turn on cold taps in your home until the water runs clear.

We thank customers for their patience during repairs.
