Construction of the Rose Valley Water Treatment Plant is underway!
An important update about how users pay for water service is about to hit mail boxes in the coming week.
Council’s top priority is to provide clean, safe and reliable water to future plant users in 2022. With a $41 million grant from the governments of Canada and British Columbia, customers will only pay $34 more over the next two years (from $116 to $150 per year) to reach the $150 annual fee. Then, that $150 per year would pay for the design, construction and financing of the plant over the long-term borrowing period (paying a lump sum in 2022 is an option, too). Our mail out provides additional details for property owners who will be served by the plant.

Please note, users of Powers Creek and WFN water systems are not affected by this future plant.
