Road rehabilitation program begins

The City’s Road Rehabilitation Program is set to begin on August 17, 2020. The program will see road treatments and paving renewal of 11 road segments across the city beginning with Pritchard Drive North and Industrial Road.

The $1.3 million project consist of a variety of treatments including preservation activities, milling of asphalt, raising of catch basins, pavement overlay and drainage improvements.

The following roads were selected based on maintenance standards and include:

• Paynter Road
• Gosset Road
• Drought Road
• N Pritchard Drive
• Hitchner Road
• Dominion Road
• Industrial Road
• McKellar Road
• Rose Valley Road
• Bowes Road
• Pettman Road

Protecting roadways from deteriorating and extending the life expectancy of City infrastructure defer costly reconstruction.

Efforts will be made to reduce impacts of upgrading road surfaces whenever possible. We appreciate the patience of residents, businesses and motorists.

Completion of work is scheduled for the fall 2020.
