It’s music to our ears!
Music in the Park returns Friday, Aug. 20 in West Kelowna after a one-week hiatus.
Pop rock singer and songwriter Justin J. Moore, and bluesman Graham Ord and his band will each perform two, limited-seating shows for fans this Friday night at 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at Kinsmen Park at 3170 Shannon Lake Road, West Kelowna. In keeping with public health orders, 50 seats are available per show. Register for this free event by calling 778-797-8800 or emailing recreation@westkelownacity.ca.
As part of the Music in the Park festivities, food trucks and Park Play Day activities will be on site, weather and air quality permitting.
Attendees are reminded to dress for weather conditions and bring blankets, chairs, umbrellas and water. Those planning to attend the 7:30 p.m. show should arrive no earlier than 7:15 p.m. to accommodate vehicle traffic leaving Kinsmen Park.
Justin J. Moore is a professional vocalist whose original songs and covers of music legends like Elton John, Bryan Adams and John Legend have been streamed more than a half-million times. He’s performed more than 250 shows, has 10 original songs under his name and is a multi-instrumental producer and ghost writer. He began his career at age 11 as a soloist for the Okanagan Symphony Orchestra.
Graham Ord is all about the blues with the occasional inspirational number thrown in for good measure. Ord has earned international recognition for his fine passionate and compelling performances. He has recorded eight solo albums and composed scores for short films and narratives.
