Overnight closures on Hudson Road are expected to continue week of Nov. 14

Overnight closures are expected to continue next week at the Hudson Road intersection, south of Concord Road, to accommodate additional, underground work that a private contractor must complete to connect sewer services to the childcare facility being constructed next to Hudson Road Elementary School.

We thank motorists for their patience during the road closures, which are scheduled to occur:

• Thursday and Friday, Nov. 9 and 10, 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
• Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, Nov. 14, 15 and 16, 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

These closures are not expected to impact utility services of those in the area including residences, businesses, Hudson Road Elementary School and Lakeview Heights Baptist Church.

Intermittent, single-lane alternating traffic is also scheduled for Friday, Nov. 10 and Thursday, Nov. 16, between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., as crews pave nearby trenches.

Schedules may change due to weather and other construction-related factors.

Please drive with caution through construction areas, give extra space for roadside workers, and follow directions of traffic-control personnel.

The City has reached out to emergency services, School District 23, Hudson Road Elementary School staff, BC Transit, nearby businesses and Lakeview Heights Baptist Church to advise them of the construction and to thank them for their patience and understanding during this essential infrastructure work.
