FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
July 04, 2019
Be sure to catch emerging, award-winning musical talent on our second, amazing Music in the Park of the season, Friday at 6:30 p.m. at West Kelowna’s Memorial Park.
Headlining at 8 p.m. is Nuela Charles. Nuela is a multiple, Juno award-nominated, alternative soul singer. She has won the Western Canadian Music Award for Urban Artist of the Year and has opened for the Grapes of Wrath!
Opening act, the Mason Burns Band brings back the groovy and hard-hitting rock and roll of the 70s and 80s and keeps the audience bopping with the beat. Just returning from a tour throughout Asia, the band is one to watch for on the international stage. Burns recently signed with Caron Maria Records, an independent Summerland-based label, and they plan to release his first, complete album. Mason Burns hits the stage at 7:00 p.m.
Emerging artist Ruth Cipes kicks off the show at 6:40 p.m.
Special thanks to Westbank First Nation for their support, providing use of their lands immediately adjacent to Memorial Park for parking again this year.
The food trucks joining us this week will be:
