Give your yard the star tree-tment this spring with Urban Re-Leaf

Spruce up your yard and improve our urban canopy by buying a tree through the 2024 Urban Re-Leaf Program.

Greater Westside residents can purchase trees online, at cost, for $73.50 plus taxes by visiting westkelownacity.ca/urbanreleaf.

Sales are open from today, March 11 through Thursday, April 4.

How to purchase a tree

When purchasing online, search the word tree under the activities section in the online registration system.

Choose from five different species:

• Crimson king maple

• Hot Wings® maple

• Ivory Pillar™ Japanese lilac

• Chanticleer® flowering pear

• Mayday tree

As quantities of each species are limited, we are asking residents to please limit purchases to two trees per property.

Picking up your tree

Tree pick-up will take place Saturday, April 13 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Mount Boucherie Recreation Complex at 2760 Cameron Road.

Urban Re-Leaf

The Urban Re-Leaf Program started in 2020 to help expand the community’s green canopy and take action on climate change.

In addition to working with residents on the Urban Re-Leaf program, the City also continues to plant new trees annually and care for thousands of existing trees in parks, boulevards and other public lands.
