Update: Adds Map
The City of West Kelowna has shut off water to a portion of Boucherie Centre due to an emergency valve replacement related to improvements on Ross Road.
Residents living on Applegreen Court, Hewl Road and portions of Ponderosa Road (see map) will experience water service disruptions today, Thursday, August 15. The City is working with the contractor to rectify the situation as soon as possible.
A Boil Water Notice, put in place yesterday evening, Wednesday, August 14, remains in effect for the area (see affected area using our online map) due to a separate emergency valve replacement. A Boil Water Notice means all users should use boiled water, or an alternate, safe source, for drinking, brushing teeth, washing fruits and vegetables, preparing food, making beverages and ice and mixing baby formula.
Free water is available at the bulk water station at Shannon Lake and Asquith Roads. A tap is located on the Asquith Road side of the station. Users must bring their own clean containers and clean hoses, if needed, and ensure they are suitable for potable water.
