Dear Rose Valley Water Local Area Service Customers,
We are following up with you today to provide an update on our engagement with ratepayers regarding the required borrowing for the completed Rose Valley Water Treatment Plant and connecting transmission mains project.
Following a letter about the available payment options, which was sent directly to ratepayers last week, the City of West Kelowna will host a digital engagement session, via Facebook Live, at facebook.com/cityofwestkelowna at 5 p.m., on Thursday, May 15 to provide answers to frequently asked questions and help provide further clarification on this important matter. A half-hour session is scheduled, but it will be extended if more time is needed to answer ratepayers’ questions. While the session will be helpful for customers of the Rose Valley Water Service Area, the live stream will also be open to the public through the City's Facebook channel.
The City of West Kelowna has also provided answers to frequently asked questions about the project borrowing process on our website at: westkelownacity.ca/en/news/answers-to-frequently-asked-questions-rose-valley-water-local-area-service-debt-repayment-options.aspx.
In addition, staff remains available by phone, email or in-person, to answer questions or provide further clarification on this important matter.
The City of West Kelowna also participated in a Facebook Live session on Thursday, May 8 at 5 p.m. in cooperation with the Rose Valley Community Facebook Group, which they announced through their channel and network earlier in the week.
