FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2022
Consecutive days of mandatory testing confirm that the City of West Kelowna, in consultation with Interior Health, can rescind a Boil Water Notice for the West Kelowna Estates Water Service Area, effective immediately.
The Boil Water Notice was required after a water main break in the Scott Crescent area on Jan. 5. Following the water main break repairs, crews were required to conduct several days of mandatory testing throughout the distribution system to confirm that the water is potable.
Residents will see crews continuing repairs and reinforcement on other infrastructure in the area that was affected by the water main break. This work will continue over the next several weeks, as weather and other conditions permit.
As no further Water Quality Advisories or Boil Water Notices are in effect anywhere in the City of West Kelowna, the touch-free, container-filling side of the Bulk Water Station on Asquith Road will be closed for the season.
