FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2020
The City of West Kelowna, in consultation with Interior Health, has rescinded the Boil Water Notice for the Lakeview-Rose Valley System, effective immediately.
The Boil Water Notice was required as part of the key construction milestone of a 750mm water main tie-in from the Lakeview-Rose Valley System to the future Rose Valley Water Treatment Plant.
To determine if you live in the Lakeview-Rose Valley System, please see our Water Quality Advisory Map at westkelownacity.ca/waterquality.
Quality is now good in all City of West Kelowna water systems.
Free access to the bulk filling station at Shannon Lake and Asquith Roads will continue until Monday, Nov. 16. Those residents who wish to access the station beyond Nov. 16 may do so for a fee. Apply to the City for an account and access code by emailing Utility Billing staff atub.finance@westkelownacity.ca or calling 778-797-8850. The station receives water via the state-of-the-art, multi-process Powers Creek WaterTreatment Plant, which the City will replicate for the Lakeview-Rose Valley, Pritchard Sunnyside and West Kelowna Estates Systems.
