Annual Line Paint Underway on City Roads
The City of West Kelowna’s Public Works Department has begun its annual traffic line painting. All lines that were painted in prior years will be repainted as well as selected pavement markings. These markings include crosswalks, arrows, and stop bars.
Motorists may experience minor delays as crews are working, and are cautioned not to drive on freshly-painted lines. Motorists are reminded to use due care when experiencing temporary traffic interruptions and to obey signage posted by work crews. It is anticipated that the project will take approximately two weeks to complete, weather permitting.
The Public Works Department is responsible for traffic signs and line markings of all roads within the City of West Kelowna except for Hwy 97, Highway 97C and Westside Road, which are maintained by the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure.
