Don’t miss the City of West Kelowna’s official opening and community celebration for the new City Hall/Library Building happening this weekend at 3731 Old Okanagan Hwy.
Add your calendar reminder to attend the event on Saturday, June 29, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the plaza overlooking Memorial Park and spectacular Okanagan Lake on the southeast side of the building. The free festivities will include an official ribbon and cake cutting ceremony, a barbecue hosted by the Westbank Lions, refreshments, music, children’s games and activities hosted by West Kelowna Recreation and Culture, face painting, and pre-registered guided tours.

Join us at the City Hall/Library Building official opening

- Official opening ceremony: 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

- Dress for the weather.
- We recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes.
- Parking may be limited; please, carpool, walk, or bike, if possible.

- Guided tours of the City Hall/Library Building will occur from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., following the official ribbon and cake cutting ceremony.
- Tour spaces are limited; pre-registration is required by calling 778-797-1234.
- The site is accessible, but please provide any additional accessibility information that you may wish to share when you call.
- Those under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
- Tours will be limited to groups of 25 or less.
- Check-in and orientation will occur prior to the tour beginning.
- Sorry, pets are not permitted on the tour for health and safety reasons.
Westside Multiculturalism Day, hosted by the Westbank Museum
Before or after stopping by the City Hall/Library Building official opening celebration, residents can also enjoy the exciting festivities taking place at Westside Multiculturism Day at the adjacent Memorial Park. The Westbank Museum Society is organizing and hosting the event, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 29. Multiculturalism Day festivities will feature 30 cultural pavilions, live performances, educational opportunities, various activities, tasting samples, food vendors and more!
