Blues enthusiasts and music lovers are in for a treat at this Friday’s free Music in the Park concert!
Headlining this Friday’s show is Sherman Doucette and the Tankful of Blues, starting at approximately 8 p.m. With his soulful and gritty vocals, Doucette brings over five decades of blues music to the stage.
Kicking off the show at 6:30 p.m. will be this week's emerging artist, followed by Kelowna’s own Stereo Sunday at 7 p.m. The dynamic band was recognized last year as one of the top three Favourite Rock/Pop Bands at the 2023 Gonzo Okanagan Music Awards.
Concertgoers are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs and blankets and settle in to enjoy an evening of live music. Grab a bite to eat at the food trucks, and drop by the Fun Zone for games and activities that all ages can enjoy, hosted by West Kelowna Recreation and Culture.
Free concerts will run every Friday evening until Aug. 23, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the beautiful outdoor setting of the Annette Beaudreau Amphitheatre at Memorial Park at 3737 Old Okanagan Highway.
Main parking is available on Westbank First Nation lands off Carrington Court and at the corner of Old Okanagan Highway and Ingram Road. Accessible parking is available, as well as a drop-off option.
