Take in more great tunes this Friday at West Kelowna’s free Music in the Park summer concert series!
Janis Janus and the Heat Lightning’s “visit with Janis Joplin’s ghost” show will take the stage at 8 p.m. at this week’s headlining act. The band will perform 17 songs from Janis Joplin’s legacy.
Kicking off the show at 6:30 p.m. will be this week's emerging artist, followed by the Okanagan’s own Cod Gone Wild trio at 7 p.m. Through Cod Gone Wild’s uplifting energy and remarkable stage presence, the Celtic inspired band gives traditional music a modern edge.
Concertgoers are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs and blankets and settle in to enjoy an evening of live music. Grab a bite to eat at the food trucks, and drop by the Fun Zone for games and activities that all ages can enjoy, hosted by West Kelowna Recreation and Culture.
Free concerts will run every Friday evening until August 23, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the beautiful outdoor setting of the Annette Beaudreau Amphitheatre at Memorial Park at 3731 Old Okanagan Hwy, West Kelowna.
Main parking is available on Westbank First Nation lands off Carrington Court and at the corner of Old Okanagan Highway and Ingram Road. Accessible parking is available, as well as a drop-off option.
