2021 Capital Projects List
With steady community growth and high demand for urban services, infrastructure improvements are a must for the City of West Kelowna. Capital improvements in 2021 are valued at $24 million, not including the multi-year high capacity Rose Valley Water Treatment Plant – Council’s top infrastructure priority.
Carrying over from 2020 into 2021 and 2022 :
- Rose Valley Water Treatment Plant - Up to $75 million, including connections to water services areas, including approved borrowing of up to $23.5 million
Other major 2021 Capital Projects Include
- Shannon Lake and Bartley Roads intersection improvements - $3.4 million with $1.3 million from reserves and $2.13 million from DCCs
- Roundabout at Gellatly and Carrington Roads – $2.5 million, with $695,000 from reserves and $1.8 million from development cost charges
