Brown Road closes for Light Up event

On Friday, Dec. 2, Brown Road will temporarily close, between Gossett Road and Main Street, from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. for the City of West Kelowna’s popular Light Up event.

Crews are working before, during and after a snow event to clear the way. As the snow falls, equipment is dispatched in a priority sequence starting with:

The first phase of construction to install critical watermain infrastructure to connect to the Rose Valley Water Treatment (RVWTP) is now complete.
In the West Kelowna Estates and the Sunnyside neighbourhoods, crews have installed large sections of transmission mains and completed road reconstruction and paving work required prior to connecting residents to the new water system.
