The preliminary results of the October 20, 2018 West Kelowna General Local Election indicate that GORD MILSOM was elected MAYOR and the following have been elected as COUNCILLOR:
- STEPHEN JOHNSTON
- JAYSON ZILKIE
- RICK DE JONG
- DOUG FINDLATER
- CAROL ZANON
- JASON FRIESEN
CHANTELLE DESROSIERS was elected School Trustee.

The City of West Kelowna has acquired 5.34 hectares (13.2 acres) of land located at 2100 Westlake Road for park purposes.
The property is adjacent to a recently acquired property on McDougall Road, that is the site for a multi-purpose indoor sports facility currently in the design stage, and Rosewood Sportsfield. Glenrosa Roundabout Construction
Council was advised that construction will begin on a roundabout at the intersection of Glenrosa Road and Webber Road on September 5 primarily to provide an access road to the new Trails Development. Construction will be completed, and paid for, by the developer of the Trails. The intersection will be closed for approximately two months as the roundabout is constructed and a temporary detour route will be in place.

Construction has begun on pedestrian improvements to Daimler Drive between Auburn Road and Old Okanagan Highway in West Kelowna. Motorists may experience minor delays during construction which is expected to be complete at the end of August.
The construction contract has been awarded to Copcan Civil Ltd., at a cost of $647,520, and will include:
- 300 lineal meters of road widening to the South side of Daimler Drive
- 60 lineal meters of full-depth road reconstruction
