Mayor Gord Milsom announced Tuesday, October 22 that the City of West Kelowna has secured property in Lakeview Heights for the relocation of Fire Station No. 32.

Obstacle Course for All Ages at Vineyard Park

The City of West Kelowna has begun installation of an obstacle course in Vineyard Park in the South Boucherie neighbourhood that will be fun for all ages.
Five playground obstacles will be located along a trail circuit at the park located on Vineyard Drive. These obstacles include an A-Frame Cargo Net, an Angled Balance Beam, a High Step (cargo net), a Peg Bridge and a Rope Climb. The obstacle course is intended for kids and fun loving adults.

After six weeks of intensive training, West Kelowna Fire Rescue has now added 10 new firefighters to the roster meaning, for the first time ever, Lakeview Heights Fire Station No. 32 is fully staffed around the clock.

The City of West Kelowna has rescinded the precautionary Boil Water Notice put in place on October 10 for parts of the downtown core – Westbank Centre - which was the result of a water main break on Old Okanagan Highway.

The City of West Kelowna is issuing a precautionary boil water notice for parts of the downtown core – Westbank Centre - due to a water main break on Old Okanagan Highway.
The area affected stretches from Paynter Road continuing east to Carrall Road and from Butt Road south as far as Powers Creek.
