Provincial Cannabis Store

Council agreed to accept a non-medical cannabis retail store rezoning application for a provincial government operated cannabis retail outlet at 2475 Dobbin Road. Council had considered the matter at its meeting on July 23 meeting but a motion to accept the application was defeated due to a tie vote. Mayor Gord Milsom exercised his option to require Council to reconsider the matter. The application will now proceed to a rezoning process...

Online Auction of Computer Equipment

The City of West Kelowna will put used computer equipment up for auction or direct sale on eBay beginning at 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 15.

As outlined in the City’s Purchasing Policy, used equipment can be auctioned online. Up for sale will be:

• 25+ Computers
• 25+ Monitors
• 10+ Cell Phones
• 15+ Laptop Docking Stations
• Various Laptops and Tablets
• Assorted OEM Toners 

The equipment no longer meets the City’s needs but is in good working order.

Boil Water Notice Issued for Sunnyside/Pritchard Water System

The City of West Kelowna, in consultation with Interior Health, has upgraded this morning’s Water Quality Advisory to a Boil Water Notice for the Sunnyside/Pritchard Water System due to ongoing water supply challenges stemming from a continuing emergency power outage in the area.

Sunnyside/Pritchard water users are asked to conserve water at this time. Please avoid any outdoor water irrigation and limit indoor water use as much as possible as the City works...
