The City of West Kelowna has issued a new blasting permit for residential development in Upper Vineyard Estates.
The permit allows T & A Rockworks to continue works approved under previous permits. Permits expire after six months, requiring the applicant to reapply to the City if blasting is still required. The continuance is effective June 25 and permits the ongoing development of a subdivision-servicing corridor in the Pinot Noir Drive area.

Regional Economic Development and Tourism Goals
Council was provided information regarding the 2019 economic development and tourism goals for the Central Okanagan. Representatives from the City’s own Economic Development Office as well as the Economic Development Commission of the Regional District of Central Okanagan, Tourism Kelowna, Westbank First Nation and the Greater Westside Board of Trade informed Council of the activities being undertaken by their organizations.

West Kelowna Council will host a Town Hall meeting next week to gather input and suggestions from the public regarding activities in West Kelowna’s downtown area.
