Public Access Restricted At Council Meeting Tonight

The regular Council meeting scheduled for 6:00 p.m. tonight in Lions Hall will only be live streamed with no in-person public access.

Tonight’s Council meeting will remain available to the public via the City’s live streaming service at www.westkelownacity.ca/webcasts so the public can still see and hear tonight’s proceedings. March 24 Council Meeting Moved to Westbank Lions Hall to Permit Social Distancing

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
March 20, 2020

The City of West Kelowna will move the March 24 Council meeting to a larger venue to ensure social distancing, as recommended by health authorities, to prevent the spread of novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

Council Chambers in City Hall is too small to permit the six-foot required distance between the Mayor, six Councilors, and the staff that need to be in attendance. The Westbank Lions Community Centre has a much larger square footage, at 2,400 square feet, than Council...
