Water Quality Advisory Issued for West Kelowna Estates System

The City of West Kelowna, in consultation with Interior Health Authority, is issuing a Water Quality Advisory for the West Kelowna Estates System, effective immediately and until further notice, due to high turbidity. The cause of the higher than normal turbidity is sediment from spring freshet that is flowing into Okanagan Lake from creeks upstream of the water system’s intake.
This advisory does not affect the Lakeview/Rose Valley, Pritchard/Sunnyside nor the Powers...
Glenrosa detour information to come next week

Glenrosa Road near the McIver intersection will temporarily close starting May 14 to allow for planned road improvements.
Information about detours and impacts for transit, pedestrians, local traffic, emergency access and timing will be posted to the City’s website, sent to our subscribers and posted on social media channels early next week.

Construction to start on Glenrosa/McIver Road Improvement Project

Construction of one of West Kelowna’s largest road improvement projects is getting underway in early May. BC General Contracting has been awarded the contract and will be mobilizing to site in the second week of May.
The project includes road and area upgrades between McGinnis and Glen Abbey Roads, the addition of a sidewalk connection to Webber Road, and realignment of the Glenrosa/McIver intersection. Pedestrian access will also be improved on McIver Road, from Glenrosa to McTaggart, and drainage...
