Council expresses condolences on the passing of Len Novakowski
Thoughts and prayers were extended to family and friends of Mr. Leonard Novakowski. Mr. Novakowski was a true gentleman and a leader that served this community as an alternate Regional Director for four years and as a Regional Director for 11 years. His thoughtfulness and calm presence will be greatly missed by Council and staff.

The City of West Kelowna, in consultation with Interior Health, is issuing a Water Quality Advisory for the Lakeview/Rose Valley System effective immediately and until further notice, due to increasing turbidity in the Rose Valley Reservoir.
Increased turbidity can allow bacteria, viruses and microorganisms to attach themselves to the suspended particles in the turbid water avoiding chlorine disinfection.

Crews will close Boucherie Road, between Hayman and Hudson Roads, Tuesday, March 30 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. to tend boulevards, conduct street sweeping and perform other general spring care and cleaning.
The work requires a full closure of the road, bike lanes and sidewalks to motorists, cyclists and pedestrians. Crews will maintain access for emergency vehicles, residents living within the work zone, buses and transit users. The City recommends motorists...

Council receives Rose Valley Water Treatment Plant update
The primary contractor is proceeding with site mobilization and obtaining insurance and working with City staff to solidify the final construction schedule. Project updates will be announced early April.

The City of West Kelowna will be able to replace its 21-year old ammonia chiller at Jim Lind Arena and Royal LePage Place, thanks to a $442,000 to a grant from the Province of BC.
