More than 8,200 future Rose Valley Water Treatment Plant (RVWTP) property owners will soon receive a mailed package about the recommended option to borrow long-term to design, build and finance the plant, and determine if there is sufficient petition against.

Council meeting conducted in new Chambers
Council held the August 25 Regular Meeting in new portables, installed across from former Council Chambers at 2760 Cameron Road. The former Chambers were too small to accommodate Council, staff and the public in keeping with provincial COVID-19 health guidelines for social distancing and gathering size limits. The City will provide information in the coming weeks on how the public will be able to attend future meetings in the new Council Chambers.

Evening closure of Glenrosa Road

Motorists in Glenrosa will need to continue to use a detour throughout Wednesday evening in preparation for paving work on Thursday August 27.
A short section of Glenrosa Road will remain closed throughout the evening on August 26 from Morningside Drive to McIver Road. The one-night short detour will direct traffic from Glenrosa Road, left onto Morningside Drive, right onto Yorkton Road, right onto McIver Road and left back onto Glenrosa Road (and vise-versa).

Evening Closure Planned for Boulevard Maintenance on Boucherie Road

Crews will close Boucherie Road, between Hayman and Hudson Roads, Wednesday, August 26 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. for seasonal boulevard maintenance.
The work will require a full closure of the road, bike lanes and sidewalks to motorists, cyclists and pedestrians. Crews will maintain access for emergency vehicles, residents living within the immediate work area, buses and transit users.

JBMAC Phase 2 reopening and online registration

The Johnson Bentley Memorial Aquatic Centre (JBMAC) is reopening with limited aquatic programming starting September 14 and registration begins this week.
