Report to Council: West Kelowna demands details from Province on policing changes

Watermain flushing program continues to progress in the Lakeview Heights neighbourhood

The City’s watermain flushing program is progressing, with crews continuing to work in Zone RV03C (see map) of the Rose Valley Water Service Area, beginning Monday, Sept. 8, 2025.

An isolated, precautionary water quality advisory will be in effect within this flushing zone while the planned maintenance program is underway and will continue until further notice.

Temporary traffic pattern changes on Anders Road begin this week

Date of Issue: Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2025

Starting Thursday, Sept. 4, 2025, Matcon Construction is scheduled to begin work on the final section of active transportation improvements on Anders Road. This work will require temporary traffic pattern changes.

The project scope includes stormwater upgrades, installation of a bike lane and sidewalk, and road paving.

Crews are scheduled to work on weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Butt Road and Old Okanagan Highway intersection improvement project update

B.C. General crews continue to make strong progress on the Butt Road and Old Okanagan Highway intersection improvements.

The anticipated timeline for reopening the intersection remains fall 2025. As work progresses toward completion, we will share more details about the specific reopening date.
