Advance polls closed strong leading into General Local Election Day on Saturday, Oct. 15

The four advance polls and special voting opportunities for the City of West Kelowna election resulted in 1,616 votes cast by the time the last advance poll, on Thursday, Oct. 13, closed at 8 p.m.
On General Local Election Day, Saturday, Oct. 15, residents will have three voting locations to choose from, including:
- Westbank Lions Community Centre - 2466 Main Street
- Constable Neil Bruce Middle School - 2010 Daimler Drive

Transmission Mains construction starts next week in Sunnyside

Beginning next week, crews will start construction work to install water Transmission Mains on Menu Road to connect to the Rose Valley Water Treatment Plant (RVWTP). This is the final stage of construction required prior to connecting residents to the new water system.
Starting Monday, Oct. 17, a single-lane alternating traffic pattern will be in effect from 1247 Menu Road to Ourtoland Road weekdays from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Temporary Boucherie Road closure for fall maintenance

On Tuesday, Oct. 18, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., Boucherie Road will be closed between Hayman and Hudson Roads for seasonal boulevard maintenance.
For the safety of crews and the public, the work will require a full closure to motorists, cyclists and pedestrians. Crews will maintain access for emergency vehicles, residents living within the immediate work area, buses and transit users.
