Westside Daze road closures and minor traffic interruptions

On Saturday, July 9, road closures and minor traffic interruptions will be in effect in Westbank Centre to accommodate activities planned for Westside Daze.

From 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. the following closures will be in place for set-up of the parade:

• Brendalee Road

• Hoskins Road from Drought to Apollo Roads

• Butt Road, Bering Road, Gossett Road, Apollo Road and Drought Road from Brown Road to Old Okanagan Highway

Beginning Tuesday, July 5, OCL Group and Brantal Contracting Ltd. will begin construction to install water main infrastructure, sidewalks, streetlights and landscaping, and make safety improvements to a section of Shannon Lake Road for a new private development.

Temporary closure of Stevens Road begins Monday

Beginning on Monday, June 20, Stevens Road between Ross Road and the Westlake Roundabout will close for approximately five days to install underground utilities and complete drainage works as part of active transportation upgrades in the Shannon Lake Corridor.

Due to unseasonable weather conditions, the temporary closure of Shannon Lake-Bartley-Stevens intersection will be extended through the week starting Monday, June 6 through to Friday, June 10 to complete final roundabout and line painting work.

West Kelowna is finishing up the spring refresh of its popular Wine Route just in time for summer.

Crews will close Boucherie Road between Hayman and Stuart Roads, from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Thursday, June 2 to conduct phase two of the planned spring maintenance.
