Crews Hit the Road as Forecasted Snowfall Begins

The City of West Kelowna’s roads maintenance crews are on the road in full force this morning as forecast snow of 10 to 20 centimeters begins to fall. Motorists and residents are asked to help crews clear the way.
In preparation for the snow fall crews were placing salt brine on all Priority 1, 2 and steep-grade Priority 3 roadways on Sunday.
All available equipment, six large plower/sander trucks and one small plow, is deployed and will maintain winter roads...

On Friday, Nov. 6, before noon, Glenrosa Road will reopen to motorists and the detour along McIver/McQueen/McGinnis will no longer be required. The $5.95 million multi-use infrastructure improvements on Glenrosa Road, from Glen Abbey Place to McGinnis Road, will be finished ahead of schedule.
Motorists, cyclists and pedestrians may still encounter occasional minor delays through the project site, and possibly some traffic control, for remaining off-road...

Evening Closure Planned for Fall Boulevard Maintenance on Boucherie Road

Crews will close Boucherie Road, between Hayman and Hudson Roads, Thursday October 22 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. for seasonal boulevard maintenance.
The work will require a full closure of the road, bike lanes and sidewalks to motorists, cyclists and pedestrians. Crews will maintain access for emergency vehicles, residents living within the immediate work area, buses and transit users.
Boucherie Road is one of West Kelowna’s busiest city streets, with more than 8,000 vehicles...
