Boucherie Road temporarily closed for summer maintenance

On Wednesday, Aug. 28 from 5:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., crews will close Boucherie Road between Hayman and Stuart Roads to conduct summer maintenance.

Crews will:

  • Clean catch basins and medians
  • Fix irrigation lines
  • Mow, trim, prune and weed
  • Repair potholes
  • Sweep streets and sidewalks

Work requires a full closure of the road, bike lanes and sidewalks to motorists, cyclists and pedestrians. Motorists, please use Highway 97 and Hudson Road or Hayman and Stuart as a detour route. Crews...

Beginning later this week, a temporary traffic pattern change is scheduled to go into effect on Shannon Lake Road as crews begin roundabout construction as part of the Shannon Lake Road Active Transportation Corridor Project.
 
Starting Wednesday, July 24, Shannon Lake Road at the Asquith Road/Asquith Court intersection will be temporarily closed with modified traffic patterns to vehicle traffic from July 24 through late September for 24 hours a day, including weekends.

Beginning next week, a temporary traffic pattern change is scheduled to go into effect on Shannon Lake Road as crews complete stormwater upgrades as part of the Shannon Lake Road Active Transportation Corridor Project.
 
Starting Tuesday, June 25, Shannon Lake Road from Shannon Way to Asquith Road is scheduled to be temporarily closed to vehicle traffic until 6:00 p.m. on Friday, June 28.

The City of West Kelowna is enhancing road safety and creating an active transportation corridor for our community along Shannon Lake Road.
 
Beginning next week, crews are scheduled to begin on-road construction of a new multi-use pathway and complete road improvements, lighting, and stormwater upgrades along Shannon Lake Road between the Kinsmen Park lower soccer field and Swite Road. Beginning Wednesday, May 29, Bronag Contracting Ltd. and Fredex Construction Inc. will begin construction for safety improvements to a section of Boucherie Road.
 
Fredex Construction Inc. is set to install a left turn lane on Boucherie Road across from 2345 Boucherie Road. Crews are scheduled to perform work from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on weekdays until the end of June.
