Crews will close Boucherie Road an extra half day

Crews must keep Boucherie Road closed, between Ogden and Douglas Roads, until noon Wednesday, April 21 as they continue the work required to run service lines to a future Lakeview Heights brew house. The work was originally slated to end today, Tuesday, April 20.

Motorists can continue to detour via Ogden Road, Thacker Drive and Douglas Road and return to Boucherie Road. Out of respect for neighbours living along the detour...

Full closure of Glenrosa Road in effect on Saturday

The Glenrosa Road detour will be in effect on Saturday, April 17 to complete all remaining sidewalk work.

Keeping the detour in place on Saturday will help crews complete final sidewalk construction work, which includes removing sidewalk forms and prepping for line painting. Glenrosa Road will re-open Saturday afternoon once work is complete.

A full closure of Glenrosa Road will be in effect and all traffic will detour via Yorkton Road and Morningside Drive....

A new brew house is being built on Boucherie Road, and construction crews must close Boucherie Road, between Douglas and Ogden Roads on April 19 and 20 to install required service connections.

Motorists can detour via Ogden Road, Thacker Drive and Douglas Road and then return to Boucherie Road. Access to all area businesses will remain open.

Minor delays possible on Boucherie Road South

Beginning March 8, crews will construct a left-hand turn lane and retaining wall on Boucherie Road near West Bay Road to create a formal access to Frind winery.

 

Motorists may encounter single lane, alternating traffic in the area and minor delays lasting no more than a few minutes. Slow to 30km/h through the construction area and respect traffic flaggers, crews, equipment operators and signs in the work zone.

Beginning March 8, the City of West Kelowna will begin construction on Phase 2 of active transportation infrastructure upgrades on Glenrosa and McIver Roads; work will require road closures and detours for up to 12 weeks.
