The second stage for Glenrosa-McIver Road improvements starts next week and two detour changes are scheduled.
Starting, Tuesday, September 8 at 7 a.m. Glenrosa Road from McIver to McGinnis roads will be closed to thru traffic until mid-November to accommodate road upgrades and safety improvements including sidewalks, cycling lanes, curbs and gutters and final paving.

Evening closure of Glenrosa Road

Motorists in Glenrosa will need to continue to use a detour throughout Wednesday evening in preparation for paving work on Thursday August 27.
A short section of Glenrosa Road will remain closed throughout the evening on August 26 from Morningside Drive to McIver Road. The one-night short detour will direct traffic from Glenrosa Road, left onto Morningside Drive, right onto Yorkton Road, right onto McIver Road and left back onto Glenrosa Road (and vise-versa).

Evening Closure Planned for Boulevard Maintenance on Boucherie Road

Crews will close Boucherie Road, between Hayman and Hudson Roads, Wednesday, August 26 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. for seasonal boulevard maintenance.
The work will require a full closure of the road, bike lanes and sidewalks to motorists, cyclists and pedestrians. Crews will maintain access for emergency vehicles, residents living within the immediate work area, buses and transit users.

Rotary Trail temporary parking lot closure

Beginning Monday, August 17 Rotary Trail Park parking lot will be temporarily closed to accommodate the construction staging area for in-stream works as part of the Gellatly Road Bridge replacement over Powers Creek. Access to Rotary Trail will remain open.
Schedule for construction is from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. with work continuing over the weekend. Remaining works include the final installation of channel rip rap and embankment protection and is expected to be completed Wednesday, August 26, to avoid...
Road rehabilitation program begins

The City’s Road Rehabilitation Program is set to begin on August 17, 2020. The program will see road treatments and paving renewal of 11 road segments across the city beginning with Pritchard Drive North and Industrial Road.
The $1.3 million project consist of a variety of treatments including preservation activities, milling of asphalt, raising of catch basins, pavement overlay and drainage improvements.
