Glenrosa active transportation infrastructure improvements set to resume

Beginning March 8, the City of West Kelowna will begin construction on Phase 2 of active transportation infrastructure upgrades on Glenrosa and McIver Roads; work will require road closures and detours for up to 12 weeks.
Crews will close Glenrosa Road from Morningside to Webber and McIver Road from Glenrosa to McTaggart. Glenrosa Road traffic will detour via Yorkton Road and Morningside Drive. The City recommends that McIver Road residents...

Continuing Monday, Feb. 22 at 7 a.m., a short-term closure of the northbound lane of Glenrosa Road near Walnut Glen Drive will be required to accommodate storm sewer tie in work.
Weather affected plans to complete the work before end of day, Friday, Feb. 19.
Northbound traffic must detour along Yorkton Road and Morningside Drive on Monday, Feb. 22 and possibly again on Tuesday, Feb. 23. Crews will maintain access for emergency vehicles through the area at all times.

Beginning Thursday, Feb. 18 at 7 a.m., a short-term closure of the northbound lane of Glenrosa Road near Walnut Glen Drive will begin to accommodate storm sewer tie in work.
Crews will finish construction by end of day Friday.

The City of West Kelowna’s roads maintenance crews are on the road in full force this morning as forecast snow of 10 to 20 centimeters begins to fall. Motorists and residents are asked to help crews clear the way.
In preparation for the snow fall crews were placing salt brine on all Priority 1, 2 and steep-grade Priority 3 roadways on Sunday.
All available equipment, six large plower/sander trucks and one small plow, is deployed and will maintain winter roads...
