Precautionary Boil Water Notice issued for parts of Smith Creek due to watermain break

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2022

The City of West Kelowna is issuing a localized precautionary Boil Water Notice, until further notice, due to a watermain break and subsequent loss of pressure in the Shetler Road area. 

Crews are on site completing repairs and working to restore water service as quickly as possible. The Boil Water Notice will be in place until further notice.

Boil Water Notice rescinded for West Kelowna Estates System following watermain break

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Friday, Dec. 9, 2022

The City of West Kelowna, in consultation with Interior Health, has rescinded a Boil Water Notice for the West Kelowna Estates Water Service Area, following a watermain break near the Blackwood Reservoir above Parkinson Road area on Monday, Dec. 5, 2022.

Crews have completed repairs and performed the necessary sampling throughout the week that indicate the system is meeting water quality objectives.

City utility crews are on site of a watermain break near the Blackwood Reservoir above Parkinson Road area.

Some customers may be without water or experiencing reduced water pressure in the West Kelowna Estates Water Service Area. Crews are isolating the watermain for repairs and will restore service as soon as possible.

The City will provide further information as soon as it becomes available.
