Watermain Flushing in Tallus Ridge and Shannon Lake

City of West Kelowna crews are flushing water mains in the Lakeview System over the next several days, focussing on the Shannon Lake Road, Shannon Way and Tallus Ridge areas.
Signs will be posted in areas where crews are flushing mains. Water main flushing involves running water at a high velocity to remove accumulated sediment from pipes; and, Lakeview System users may experience discoloration in the water while flushing is underway. Should residents notice...

The City of West Kelowna has rescinded the precautionary Boil Water Notice put in place on October 10 for parts of the downtown core – Westbank Centre - which was the result of a water main break on Old Okanagan Highway.

The City of West Kelowna is issuing a precautionary boil water notice for parts of the downtown core – Westbank Centre - due to a water main break on Old Okanagan Highway.
The area affected stretches from Paynter Road continuing east to Carrall Road and from Butt Road south as far as Powers Creek. Working in conjunction with the Interior Health Authority, the City of West Kelowna has issued a Water Quality Advisory for the Lakeview Water System due to elevated turbidity in water drawn from the Rose Valley Reservoir.

Working in conjunction with the Interior Health Authority, the City of West Kelowna has rescinded the Water Quality Advisory for the Lakeview Water System.
No remaining water quality advisories are in effect in the City of West Kelowna’s systems at this time.
