Starting today, Friday, May 29, beach volleyball courts and four new pickleball courts will be open in the City of West Kelowna.
Users must maintain safe social distancing of two metres and limit gathering sizes on the courts and sidelines to required players, officials and subs only.

As phased reopening plans continue to progress, the next phase will see playgrounds and outdoor fitness equipment opening on June 1 across the region. This includes outdoor playgrounds located in municipal and regional parks as well as playgrounds located at public schools in the Okanagan.

Multiple confirmed black bear sightings, including a sow with young cubs, have been reported in the Rose Valley neighbourhood. These bears are seeking easy food sources in unsecured garbage containers and other unnatural food sources, which, if not prevented, can create human-bear conflicts.

The City of West Kelowna has cancelled the 2020 schedule for Music in the Park to adhere to the restrictions of no large group gatherings as directed by BC’s Provincial Health Officer.
